Love or hate the iPad, this is very cool:

Best part is it's only $10, not including the iPad of course.

Wireless HUI emulation for the iPad. I'll be interested to see what people say, but for me, if this works, there's simply no question that it will make sense to buy one.

A dedicated mic stand bracket would be nice too. I like the Frontier TranzPort... but I do think the iPad+ProRemote on a little stand would really kick ass.

More suggested reading for the common-sense impaired:

CNet's Biggest Mac Zealot Hates His iPad

Choice quote: "These are the annoyances and roadblocks that make this appliance, otherwise engaging and attractive, feel like it was rushed out the door. Or done on the cheap. Which, for a device that starts at $499, is just wrong. Data entry is a UI train wreck. And NO Google docs? WHAT?"

This brick is just full of surprises, eh?

I'll be damned .. I tried it with my tablet (yes, I was bored) and it works! .. Can't quite get the colors, but can see the screen image quite well!

Did you read his last paragraph?

"April 14: Yes, I'm still using the iPad
I've been adapting to the iPad's niggles for two weeks and I will continue to. It's a fun and beautiful device, and it is actually useful both at work and at home. Although my affection for this device is tempered by the expanding list of annoyances, I'm hanging on to it in the hope, which I think is reasonable, that most of these issues will get fixed. That's the price you pay for drinking the Kool-Aid. I mean, being an early adopter."

I know you hate Apple, but I think this will be a game changer.
They will fix all of the stuff that he is complaining about.
C'mon, 1st generation of any new tech is always imperfect.

At this point, I have no inclination to buy one, but I bet in a year or so, I will.

This is kind of long, but I think it hints at the possibilities.
