select fader/screen while in auto write

select fader/screen while in auto write - 04/15/99 10:01 AM

In an earlier post I said it would be nice to select a fader to view on the screen while in automation write mode. The select buttons become auto/write select buttons when automation is enabled.
Well Carl called from Panasonic, and said I was one of the few who ask for this feature, and that it was available. Take notes:
With MMC/CURSOR in MMC mode, hold the
SHIFT/0 button down and the select buttons default to 'normal' select mode.
Apparently this function is hidden in the pages of the DA7 manual. I asked if a shortcut sheet with these commands was available and he said one was forthcoming.

That's awesome! Great work Russell! I was wondering the same thing myself. Thanx, you really helped me out. I'd be very interested to find out what other "hidden functions" there are.

Some shortcuts are located at chapter 3-5, on page 3-17 of the DA7 manual. Others are on the 'read me' part 2 from ver1.2 downloadable from this site.
Unfortunately as of yet there is no shortcut to the shortcuts.

This ability was in the old version of the software. It just is a little clunky to make it real convenient. I look forward to a more graceful solution.
