Michael Jackson, Thriller, the best selling album of all-time over 100 million copies. The tragic end of a legend at only 50 yrs old. And yet, he was, in all-probability, a child-molester so maybe this is divine justice.

I don't by into the child molester theme. A lot of it is media driven. He was not right in his mind but I don't think he was evil in his heart, that he wanted to hurt children. His childhood was fucked, that carried into his adulthood. I don't think any of us can wrap our heads around what he went through. Sad story, great music. Sad to see him gone.

And yet, he was, in all-probability, totally innocent .... misunderstood, different, strange, weird? I guess so ... but please easy with the divine justice, Justin.

This is what I posted on another forum in response to someone who essentially said that if you're caught in bed with children in your underwear, you're a child molester:

Sorry to give you TMI, but I sleep in my underwear. My daughter gets into our bed to watch TV with us all the time, and it's not unusual for me to hug her.

Who knows how it would have come out if she'd happened to mention something in passing to her kindergarten teacher when she was a little girl. And if I were a pop star...say no more.

Now, it's a little different with your own kid, but how different?

Yeah, Nick...
You got it right.
I think he was an innocent, albeit abnormal person.
Nobody around him would dare question his behavior.
If someone had said, "Hey Mikey, I don't think the sleepovers are a good idea."
"Dude, don't dangle the baby"
Maybe he would have caught a clue.
Maybe he had too much money and too little wisdom.
I don't know the truth of his situation,
None of us can.
I do know that he made some incredible music.
I salute him for the beauty he left here.

I have to disagree. It's one thing, Nick, when it's your kid climbing in to watch TV. That happens in most families, famous or otherwise. This was significantly different. Kids that he really had no personal connection with (not like family or close friends). And then there were the payoffs, one of some $20 million and probably others. So sorry if I'm not buyin' the poor rich guy sob story. The guy was really creepy.

RIP Michael.

I'm a big fan of Tito's solo work - great guitarist as well.

Off The Wall is about as perfect as albums get.

One thing about MJ is he was the greatest beat boxer of all time. I remember seeing him with Oprah and doing this drum thing and it was amazing.
