Okay.... I've been able to setup a HUI to protools 5.0. No problem. Faders move mutes & solos etc. all transmit. My problem is that I can't seem to get the transport controls from the da-7 to be seen by PT. I have put PT in mmc mode & followd the da-7 manual, but still.... no bananas. Can somone enlighten this old analoge dude???

You definitely have MMC enabled in Setups->Peripherals->Synchronization? And do you have the DA7 enabled as an input device under the MIDI menu?

Also, you know that you have to hit the MMC button on the DA7, right?

MMC button....yea, on the da-7. MMC/Cursor right. If so yes the MMC is enabled on the console. I see an MMC box appear in the LCD of the da-7.

The first paragraph applies to Pro Tools, of course.

Does your MIDI interface light up when you push the DA7's transport buttons? That'll tell you whether you're sending MIDI, at least. You could also do an OMS Setup Test Studio routine.
