No seriously, this is my gear guy who I buy all my stuff through and even the rep who was getting him the units to test out said he thought there had to be a mess up along one of the assembly line chains where internally wires were being crossed. The VP of manufacturing called my buddy (Simon Cowell-hense the Idol connection) to thank him personally for running the tests and discovering the error. Funny thing was the VP said it was only a 'few units' that were faulty but the rep said he heard that my friend found a major error that effected a whole batch (who knows how many that is) of ADL-600s wired the wrong way.
