I recently picked up a Little Labs IBP. For those unfamiliar with the unit, it is an active DI, reamp box, and phase alignment tool all in one. Having had a couple weeks to get familiar with this box I must say that I am very impressed! I have yet to use the reamp feature of the unit, but the DI section is big and clean, and the phase adjustment is well...awesome. I've been having a lot of fun just throwing up mics anywhere they sound best individually with total disregard to phase issues and then using the IBP to dial in a musical sounding phase relationship between the two mics. So far I've used it on an acoustic guitarist/singer, distant kick drum and drum overhead, and multiple mics on guitar amp. It totally rules. The creative possibilities seem endless.

Is anyone else here using this box? What unique applications are you finding for it? I seriously wish I had like 3 more. Someone out there should make a plugin that does what this box can do. It's so powerful! Almost liberating in a way. No more inching mics around and compromising tones to get two mics in phase for me!
