Hello out there. I purchased to MAX software a few months ago, but I've upgraded to WIN XP.Is there an XP versioon available, and can you download it, how much is it, and is anybody using it? It seems to be pretty cool from looking thru the manuals.
Thank you. David@Langley Recording Service

MAX runs on XP just fine. Right click on the installation file, go to properties>compatibility, and run in win 95 emulation mode. Cheers.....

Thank you. Now I'm getting an Error in the bottem of the DA7 screen saying Framing error MIDI to PC, and the computer says can't find the port. Ain't this fun when you get new software? :-)

Anyway, thank you for your help.

Make sure the (non-standard) 8-9 pin serial cable is wired according to the HOSA DBK-110 or Roland RSC-15AT pin-out.

And be sure to set both the mixer’s and the computers BAUD RATE to 57.6K or 125K.

Thank you. This cable probably ins't right. I bought it at a computer store and it has an adapter on one end. It's PS/2 to PS/2, with the Serial port adapter.

The exact error reads: Framing error (MIDI to PC RS485)

I'll check with Guitar Center to see if they have a HOSA cable. If not. do you know where I can get one?

Thank you again guys....
David

OK....
I got a cable, the error message is gone in the console screen, but the software keeps saying, could not locate console 1, change port settings when I boot the program. I've tried all four ports, same thing. Any ideas?

Thank you.David
