Hi, Radar and an analog Ramsa, need more inputs. Quad Eight to replace Ramsa. Still was thinking about an 02R. Looked at DA7 years ago. Tell me why this board is still exciting to you guys. How much can you find one for. My Ramsa is a WRt 820 . Thanks in advance

I loved the Ramsa WRT820. If you know that board, you will be very comfortable on the DA7. The layout will be very familiar and no processes are more than 1 or 2 button pushes away. Except on the DA7, the sound quality is better, it has 4 fader layers, and it remembers every session parameter. And dynamics. And digital i/o for your RADAR.

I am using 2 RADAR II's with 2 DA7's in tandem mode. I am very happy with this set-up - sonically, the DA7 is more comparable to the Sony DMX R-100 than to a Tascam or Mackie - the sound is smoother to my ears. I am not familiar with the new Yamaha 02R. Don't know if you have a RADAR 24 (or if you record above 48K), but the DA7 doesn't do 96K. And I second everything that Sean said - and you can probably find one for around $1500 with meter bridge and cards.
