Ok I'm many of you know this tip but here it is anyway. Ever have a window like Wavs PAZ analyzer or some plugin with little tiny knobs that are hard to see on your screen?

In Mac OS X there's a feature called Zoom is helpful in this case.

Just go to System Preferences>Universal Access and turn on Zoom. Then hold down Option-Apple and hit + or - keys to zoom in and out. Oh, I also recommend going into Zoom Options and setting the pointer to move the screen when it reaches outside edges, this way you can operate you plugin when it's zoomed.

Ok now let's see how many of you knew about this feature? I know, I know - not exactly earthshattering news but if you've never tried it - give it a shot.

Justin,
This is the coolest tip/feature... Thanks! Now I can read Doonesbury without squinting.

I've used it with that little Autotune window.

They had that (similar) feature way back. One time my cat landed on my keyboard and the screen zoomed real big......I didn't know how to change it back!
That was back in the IIFX or Quadra 950 days (maybe System 8.x).

Hey, I got an idea..... How 'bout for April fools day, switching a friends Mac to White On Black, or Greyscale?

Cool.. Now I can see the controls in Mach 5. Nice little small headings and controls. I just learned about all the Screen capture Modes.. Very cool. Thank Justin.

Peace,

Jeff

for those of you on the other side of the OS coin, go to:

Start>Programs>Accessories>Accessibility>Magnifier

simple, and nearly worthless!

Justin, once again, you are the man!
This is great for viewing all those tiny plugin windows.
It's also very cool for expanding streaming video windows.
Thanks.

I don't think it works on LCD monitors. It doesn't on mine, anyway.

It does on my NECs.
Try the += on the main part of the keyboard instead of the + on the number pad..

It works fine on my cheap Costco LCD even when using the extended keyboard +/-
