Imagine my surprise, when I set up to record the drum kit and Channel 6 phantom power didn't work! We determined all cables to be good, mic was performing properly, all switches were set up correctly. Hmmmmm!

Anyone have similar experiences? Any clues to what might be wrong? I'd sure hate to have to put this baby in the shop for repair at this time!!

Thanx all.

Hmmmm, if all cables are correct, and all switch positions are correct. Does the same microphone and cable work in the other 7 balanced XLR inputs? Have you turned on the + 48V button in the Channel Window (I had to ask)?
O.K. Here's one where a reset shouldn't help, but when all else fails, back up you data and perform a Master Reset. I'd do that before shipping the unit off for repairs.

If you can get a volt-meter, measure DC voltage on the mic connection between pin 1 (ground) and 2 OR 3. You should certainly see 48vdc, even at limited current capacity. If you can see it at pins 1 & 2, try between 1 & 3... the voltage should be identical to the 'n'th degree. If you have 48vdc to one but not the other, your mic won't work!
