ah you both got me wrong! I mean... I'm far from being gay and I do have a 6 year old son, but since then (my wild rock'nroll days) I've become a good church goin guy now (lives by the good book) and gone back to the old skool of just one woman, and that would be my lovely fiance' who is not only hot (in my opinion) but is very talented and has record labels calling on a regular basis. Yea i've found running after women, drinkn' the wild life kind of stuff only lead myself to depression and not having much to live for. Yea, one can say religion is crutch or what ever you personaly think but I'm on the side of I'm not following some TV evanglist or some wierd cult, its just a spirit thing for me much like music tends to touch peoples spirit or meditation in some cultures. Plus the other christians I hang out with are some of the best supporters of my music and studio and by far more encouraging of what I do and genuine concern for my life as well. You would be surprised as well how many other christians I've come across here in the LA music scene from producers to studio cats and all. I made friends with Marc Ford, the guitarist for Ben Harper, he also used to play in the Black Crows. Same story as mine and now he playes at church on Sunday morning and then goes and does studio work for Bob Dylan, Sheryl Crow and just cut an album with the Blind Boys of Alabama last month as well too. I know there is always wacko religious people especialy on tv that ruin the rep for the rest of us, but youd be surprised what church is like now-a-days and that being a 'follower or Christ' is more life than being a drag.
my2 for what its worth
sam
oh and this isn't 'pushing' what i believe on anybody just a story that no one forced anyone to read anyway... (i'm real anti- shoving my religone on anyone)
