Produce and release my own instumental album, 10 songs and I'll play all the instruments. I'm shooting for 90% of it to be live instruments guitar, drums, bass, Hammond, mandolin, pedal steel, percussion and so forth, and maybe a small bit of sequenced stuff from the Triton but layered with real stuff over the top. I don't plan on it being a money maker, but more like just something I've wanted to do for quite some time. I've read, break a goal down into subparts and give start and finish estimated deadlines, check them off as you go. I'm the type of guy that needs just little steps to complete the big step. good luck all in 2double0-5 word sam

Brent, don't feel bad you didn't get it. Remember, Andrew is a "senior member".

Yea; I'm gonna become a world famous guitar player and write a block busting rock song that will skyrocket me to the top of the charts in '05 and place me at the very pinnacle of success!! Only thing is; I heard somewhere its lonely at the top of rock and roll....... and I don't like to be lonely...I like my friends, my house, my wife. So maybe my resolution will be to simply stay home, enjoy my little studio, keep writing dorky little songs, love my wife and my dog and be happy. In that perhaps find some measure of success. Mix

Mix Hey what kind of dog is it? We're (my wife and i) looking at getting a new dog, where leaning toward the BIG breeds, St. Bernard, Bernese Mt. Dog, or Great Pyranese. just curious... sam

Whoooops!! Busted me good on that one Andrew K. :p Here I'm trying to be all philosophical and instead, thanks to you I end up all in trouble. Not really. My wife and I are still best friends even after 22 years of marriage.Just in case though, let me rephrase that senario.... My house could burn to the ground. Every circuit board could fry in my little studio,I could experience brain block and never write another dorky little song. My little dog could enter doggy heaven but as long as I still had my best friend,my wife, I would be a happy thankful man. Hopefully that will keep me out of the dogs house and that I would consider at least some measure of success. Thanks buddy Sam; She's just a little mut. Kinda a border collie/springer spaniel mix. One of our boys rescued her from the highway about 12 years ago when she was just a pup and she's been with us every since. She's getting pretty old now but she continues to bring a lot of joy to us. mix

Sam,
I have two Bernese Mountain Dogs....one 90lb. "rescue dog" and another 110lb. I love these dogs and can't say enough about them. I had another 120lb. male that died 2 years ago.
They are working class dogs; very loyal and perfect around the family. If you want to know more, just holler.
If you were on the East Coast, I could hook you up with a breeder.....but there is a BMD network I'm plugged into that could get you leads where you are.

How are the health of the Mountain Dogs? A neighbor of mine had one. It was a very sweet animal but had terrible back problems and only lived about 8 years.

Dan,
Unfortunately their lifespan is short....around 8 years. That is one drawback. They usually die of bone cancer or hip displasia.
The other drawback is that they frequently ingest foreign objects. This is how my last dog (aged 4) died, by ingesting a corn cob that wouldn't pass.

Yea there is a breeder (B.M.D.) that is in Nevada north of Las Vegas that supposedly is breeding Berners that live closer to 10 to 12 years. The only thing is my wife and I would have to drive out there to get one and still pay a pretty penny for one as well. I like how they look and they seem like sweet dogs and supposibly smart and trainable. Right now I have a McNabb a breed that is not recognized by AKC yet but they are related to a boarder collie and are smart and very athletic. I have a freind that just got 3rd place in the Purina Increadble Dog challenge, was on tv today and his is a McNabb too but they called it a boarder collie on tv. Anyway, my wife is not friends with the dog. She is not trained (my dog that is ) and jumps up and is pretty crazy all the time and my wife just can't handle it. Some of the guys that have been comming out to the studio call her 'nut-shot' cause she'll spear you in the groin area if your not paying attention. Now you can see why the wifie dosn't like her. Anyway, we want a Berner if we can find one. word sam
