I put my DA7 in storage for about a year while I was moving around. Now I’m back in Dallas and I needed to put my editing bay back together. When I turned on my DA7 the faders returned to their last position. I spoke into a dynamic mic and got levels on the meter bridge. But…… when I pressed any of the buttons on the console they were unresponsive. Not a single button on the console works. Not even the cursor works. The display works and I do get levels, but that is it. Do I have something set on the DA7 that is preventing the buttons on the console from working or is it an internal problem?

Gus, you will probably want to reset the console. Be aware that resetting the console erases any settings that you may have stored and brings the console back to original settings. Seeing as the console is basically inoperative, you wouldn't be able to offload your settings anyway.

Instructions for doing a hard reset are in the manual. A copy of the manual in PDF form is available on this website.

Good luck

The neglect hurt its feelings, maybe.

If I told you what I used the console to edit, you would think it just didn't want to get back to work.

I thought resetting the console required pressing a series of buttons on the console.

When I tried that route it wouldn't work because all the buttons are unresponsive.

Turn OFF the Mixer.

Then hold down both the METER and CHANNEL buttons in the MASTER DISPLAY area simultaneously.

While holding both of these buttons down, turn the DA7 back ON.

Your mixer will restart automatically.

I can't reset the DR7 using any buttons. Cause none of them work. Is it possible a fuse is blown. Are any of the fuses required for the console to work.

That was a dumb question. I meant to ask are any of the fuses required for the buttons on the front to work?

Even that is poorly worded. I guess you get the idea.
