I too have learned so much from this board...Thanks Justin! I was so happy to find this site after getting my DA7 and was sad when I had to part with it for dimes on the dollar. It was still in pristine condition and I told the buyer about this site, don't know if he ever registered here. Anyway like I said...Thanks Justin and best wishes to everyone here!

I still have my DA7 - teamed up with a Tascam MX-2424. Use them every week. Just this week I got the "Low Battery" warning on my DA7. Not too bad for being 20 years old!!! I also have a couple of the rotary potentiometers that are a bit wonky, so I found some suitable replacements up on ebay. Gonna tear into it next week after I get finished with a couple of sessions going on this week and weekend! This thing has sure earned it's keep over two decades!!!

Very happy to see you are still here! I came back to refer to a post I wrote years ago about repairing my DA-7 because I had to do it again today. I was glad to see that a lot of people downloaded the pictures I shot over the years, and they helped me again. (No idea which computer I saved the originals on of course.) Got the old girl up and running again.

Just bought 2 DA7 and I want to set it up with the ADAT Cards to communicate with my RME Interface. Anyone can show me how to do this?

Well, I replaced the CR2032 memory backup battery this weekend. No big deal, just have to remove a bunch of screws from the perimeter (don't forget to remove some under the front edge of the desk) and then the control surface hinges up from the back. I used a 20" long paint stick to hold the unit up and open while I was working inside. Once open, you can see the battery pretty much dead center in the bottom of the mixer on a PC board. So that I didn't loose all the preset settings, I plugged the mixer back in and turned the power ON. With the power ON, I then removed the battery and replaced with a fresh one. Maybe a little dicey doing this with the AC power supplied and the mixer turned on - but this method worked. No settings, preset or scenes lost after cycling power....

I still have a dual tandem setup running. I did replace both internal batteries, and one internal fan. I don't recommend a fan replacement if your anger threshold is low. It's in a very tight place, hard to get at for some reason lol.

My boards power up and say (c) 2000. Still sounds fantastic for older digital technology.

Yes!! Got mine back in ?99 and have used it everyday since. I got a replacement so i could have 2 working boards about 3 years ago now tgey both have sone issues. Who still works on these?

i justy bought one i wanted a digital mixwe and this one sounds really nice took me half a day to get to know it and to assign my adat adda and tascam expensions but its running really nice for my drumcomputer studio
next month i gane try it out for mixing live music at a smal event

I too replaced battery no problems. Now I need to fix a channel fader that does not respond properly and on calibration just flies to the top and stays there

Well, as of today 10.2.2023 this board that started in June 1998 is almost 25 years, 4 months old. Wow. Let's see how much longer we can keep it going!

Hi everyone I'm a recent proud owner of 2 DA7 with the aim to record and mix my songs.
I plan to cascade both of them together as I don't have a tandem card so I'll use an AES/EBU cable out of one into the other, has anyone ever done this?

I still lurk occasionally. I'm about out to dig my DA7 out of storage and mate it with a Pro Tools HD4 rig running XP & PT HD 8.1.1. Setting up at a friends house to record an album. Wish I had Max software for PC. I've got Max for Mac and a PowerMac 9600 to run it but have no. lea where it is.

Im the new guy, trying to figure out if this will work for me, seems like great gear.
