I have the manual with a S/N and the desk but I would like to try the software out.
Can anyone point me to a download.

I've looked everywhere and keep hitting my head against brick walls. Even if it is to direct me to the dept within Panasonic that may provide it.
I bought the PC cable and have MIDI stuff to burn but need the software.
Also could anyone point me to a good thread to shortcut my learning curve on MAX.
The manual is good but "Clunky" in the way it describes usage. It was obviously written by a technician not a user.

It is buggy beyond belief and never progressed beyond version 1.0.

Yes, whilst I have only fired it up on the computer standalone (still waiting for the cable) it seems VERY primitive. I think it will take me a few days to get sick of it.
Is there an alternative, as I like the idea of saving the mixes for the live shows and then just tweaking when we get to the venue.
BTW Thank you all for your comments, it has made coming to terms with my new mixer almost a pleasure.

I would just use whichever DAW you're most comfortable with...They all have automation that they save as MIDI data. Simply call up the song title and your mix is there (of course you will have to setup each song before hand)...

There's a nice free application call Sysex Librarian that works well for backing up the console. And of course you can save 50 mixes right on the console.

And yet I didn't totally dislike the software, especially the static level storage, which was virtually unlimited. I used it with a dedicated PowerPC (I think), but I remember getting usable results as long as I didn't try to make it do something it couldn't do.

Quality is a direct experience independent of and prior to intellectual abstractions.
