See here's a thing:

Last weekend the gig was a 50/60s three piece Rock 'N' Roll covers band

They had a repertoire of around thirty five songs none of which they could play properly!

Sadly, I'm old enough to remember the originals grin

They turned up for the sound check with a POS Ibanez SG copy and a Precision Bass copy plus a half decent Tanglewood electro-accoustic

I asked them what Backline they had only to be met by a vacant look! They didn't even have Jack leads...

So, I plugged 'em in through a couple of DIs and away we went (Thank the Good Lord for the FX on the LS9) thing is though, from a sound balance point of view, it was one of the best sounding gigs we've done for a while - Why?

Because there were no 'Rock Gods' with their ubiquitous Marshall 4x12s jacked up to 11 out of 10 screwing over the drum and vocal mix

Makes you think doesn't it? Perhaps all gigs should be done this way... wink

Cheers
Anton
