Nice to be back hanging with you guys. Business has picked up which is kinda nice. Been playing in a couple of bands, nothing serious but it's been fun. Really getting back into drums again, something I stopped a long time ago. Guess it does not matter how much older you get, you can still get back into it again.

I'm re-inventing myself as a rapper. I recorded this song, my very first of this type. I played everything on this in real time, no editing, my very first rap single. Known to the local hip hop rappers in the area as "LIL LAME", I'm persuing my dream. That's right, you heard me. My single "Born Lamesta" has yet to hit the charts but I'm hopeful. Check it out...

Yup, I knew you'd be back. And just in time too. Avid has better quality A/D conversion on their new expensive interfaces. What say you King Jeremy of quality word clock cable land? wink Glad to have you back man.

Justin, my personal theory is that human hearing is not getting any better, not enough time has gone by for our auditory perception to evolve beyond where it's at now.
But audio technology has developed to a point now where I don't think it can get any better, other than non natural sound, surround ect.

What I have noticed is that it has made the turn full circle and is now heading back in the other direction. People don't care about fidelity anymore, mp3 is the norm.

A lot of production is going for a grainy, non detailed sound, some John Mayher stuff sounds like that to me. So I still think a hit can be tracked on an adat, and maybe even a 4 track cassette player.

I had a singer in here, had her own band, toured on the "Peaches and Herb" last year, remember "reunited"? She was the new Peaches. Anyway we tracked 24 songs (for an agency) to downloaded MP3 versions (Karioke), most sounded pretty bad, the MP3s, but she could not tell and made no difference to her.

So, I can honestly say that to me it does not matter what new converter comes out, or pre amp or anything, it's over.

Seriously Jeremy? Don't you feel compelled to upgrade all your cards to the new PCI-FM standard, which will allow you to run two more reverbs with even shorter latency at 170 Vagines? The interocular disreputation spec is totally amazing, like .03 Bulbaurethra lower.
