Yep

What does that have to do with the poll? This is a survey (according to people who participate in the CBS poll) of how the current administration is doing with the specific issues.

It has everything to do with it. People disapprove because they are expecting miracles and fast, and they're not getting that. Well sorry, it's going to be a long, slow road back for this country.

As for the poll, I think it shows how the majority of people think Obama is doing. Change=more of the same.

Almost everything you're saying is bullshit, ExcelAV. Sorry. It's just horrible to read people believing that nonsense.

1. The United States is not a Christian country, it's a diverse country. We have a Judeo-Christian heritage in the West, and Christianity is the largest religion in this country, but that's very different from saying we're a Christian country.

2. Right-wing religious freaks were a big part of the coalition that elected that asshole Bush. The Republicans are perfectly happy to exploit those fools in the most hypocritical way to gain power.

3. Your understanding of economics is as wrong as the whole Republican party's, and they're a bunch of asshole morons with nothing to offer the country. No they don't care about the country for the most part; they care about regaining power.

4. It would be irresponsible for the government to pull back from supporting the economy by cutting spending right now. The economy would really crash and unemployment would go much higher.

Nobody is saying you can spend your way out of *debt*, the argument is that increasing the deficit now is way better than the consequences of not doing that. The millions of people who still have jobs becaus of the stimulus understand that very well. When the economy picks up again is the time to deal with it, because then the tax base will go up. We're going to have deficits either way.

5. Everything you're saying about the healthcare bill is disgusting and a repeat of a lie. Everything. The healthcare bill will not put the country deeper in debt, it will reduce costs and reduce the deficit over time. Tens of thousands of people die every year because they don't have coverage, and this will insure 30 million more people.

6. The country voted in a Democratic president and Congress to reform health insurance, and they're doing that. Bills passed the House and the Senate with a clear majority.
this is not something being crammed down the public's throat, it's a gift. The only reason as many people are opposed to it as are is that they've been fed a steady diet of hideous lies for the past year. And we saw lots of them in the healthcare summit yesterday. The Republicans SUCK.

7. Reconciliation requires 51 votes in the Senate. It's not a minority. Meanwhile the Bush tax cuts for the rich, which are responsible for a huge part of our national debt right now, were pushed through by reconciliation.

8. Fuck central Massachusetts and fuck the Republican party.

My point is that many poll questions are slanted and/or incomplete and simplified to such a degree as to make a yes or no vote irrelevant.

Joseph, Do you approve or disapprove of the way political candidates eat small children?
No comments now, just check one.

I approve.

I disapprove.

Results of this poll show that most Americans support my belief that politician's table manners are atrocious.

Do you
A- think Zumbido should run for president as a republican in 2012
or
B- think Zumbido should run for president as an independent in 2012?

Wow, it seems like an overwhelming percentage of Americans polled believe Zumbido should run for president in 2012!

I think that about sums it up Nick. These people need a good swift kick in the ass and maybe a bit more. Remember Bush after he was elected at that conference (In Michael Moores Movie) "This is a meeting of the haves, and the have mores, I consider you to be my base".

The Repulselicans have to be stopped. They are crazy, period. I don't see how what Obama is "more of the same". No not really. He has a brain, and smarter than most people that where in that health care summit.

He's really taking on these disgusting rich fat fucks who have had there way for far to long. The world they want (to restore the country back to our founding fathers) mentality does not exist anymore. It's a new century, a different time.

I can't think of a better person than Obama to start into motion the change that needs to happen. I can't think of another person who could do it at this time. If your into instant gratification, then no, Obama is not the guy for you. Like said, it's going to take a long time to turn this republican mess around.
