Glenn, did you get those isolated 'Sgt. Pepper' tracks that Tim posted? You can here McCartney playing that beautiful Ric bass (pictured above) in all it's hissy, amped (Vox 430 or Vox 730 or blonde Fender Bassman?) glory or D/I (Geoff Emmerick denies using one, but Ken Townsend says McCartney did). Not to mention just plain ol' great bass lines.

I've had those tracks a couple for a couple of years now. The ones I have are less hissy and clearer (probably closer to the original). They've been going around for a while, along with some Queen, Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye ("What's Goin' On" is stunning), some other Motown stuff. The Beach Boys tracks are reductions, so no separate bass.

Sean, surprised you don't have them, they've been going around for a while. Be patient, they will show up. The surprise will be how poorly recorded most of this sounds by today's standards. Musicianship is good, but not nearly as accurate. However, when its all mixed together, it sounds indescribably delicious.
