Hey Andrew "Six Windows Machines" K., how come you're not sure about the MBP?

I love the MBP.... I'm just not sure about MAC OSX for audio applications aside from Logic and PT.

Ah. Well, there's DP, and all the NI stuff, VSL, Redmatica, Ivory Grand, RMX, Melodyne, Altiverb, lots of other AU instrument and processing plug-ins... they all do well on Mac.

back to the issue at hand ... why would anyone want a device with a non-replaceable battery ... especially a PHONE ... I always carry a second battery as no phone I have EVER had has been able to last long enough to cover me for an 18 hour day. I can't imaging not having my phone working during a show!

Besides being obnoxious, it's a very poor design choice and limits functionality (although I guess this way they can keep non-apple batteries out of their precious proprietary device).

It is replaceable.... just not user replaceable.

Maybe the iPone will last an 18 hour day for years. If not... then it's not for you. One thing I am 100% sure of..... the iPhone won't be great for everyone.

I use Nuendo and it's not UB ready yet. K2 is just recently UB ready. I still think the OSX/CPU (MacIntel) relationship is still a little green.

But I do use Redmatica Keymap on my Laptop... and it does Rock!!!

Nick you know me pretty well.... whatever works the best for the job at hand...
